A.W.A.R.E. Inc., a non-profit organization, provides a range of community-based services for adults with disabilities, with offices and services in Anaconda, Montana. Adults who have been identified with serious disability challenges are eligible for services. Because A.W.A.R.E. promotes a "wrap-around" philosophy, services are strength-based, family focused, individualized, and comprehensive. Services in the Anaconda Community include:

Adult Day Services

Intensive Adult Habilitation:

This service provides training to adults who are not ready for vocationally oriented programs. Many individuals have few self-help skills.

Some may have physical handicaps, and others, extremely challenging behaviors. Higher staff ratios exist to meet more intensive training needs. The goal is to prepare individuals to move to vocational services.

Work Services:

Most of the adults we serve are actively involved in work services. A.W.A.R.E.’s Work Services Center provides a range of programs from work readiness, job skill training and production, and individuals are paid according to their efforts.

The goal is to prepare individuals for supported or competitive employment. Work services currently revolve around A.W.A.R.E. recycling, mobile work crews, and enclaves.
