| Respite Services:
A.W.A.R.E. provides respite services to qualified families. Respite is temporary care given to persons with disabilities in order to provide relief to the primary caregiver. Respite is not a luxury but a critical necessity for families who have children with severe emotional disturbances. Respite may take place for a few hours (at least three) but usually takes place for 24 to 48 hours. In the Bozeman area there are two ways to access respite care. A.W.A.R.E. encourages families to find their own respite provider. This may be a family friend, a neighbor, or a family member. Families may not feel that they have anyone to provide respite, in those cases your Youth Case Manager may be able to link you to a licensed provider.
