Services for Youth with Developmental Disabilities

Intensive Family Education and Support Services:

AWARE’s Intensive Family Education and Support Services (IFES) provide every family with the individualized supports they need to keep their child at home, while supporting the child to reach his/her highest potential. IFES provides an array of services and supports for youth with developmental disabilities and intensive needs, based on the child’s needs and the family’s choices. Many services are associated with this program, including but not limited to: case management; habilitation services from trained providers; respite care for parents; specialized and adaptive equipment information and application; transportation services; specialized therapies; individualized intervention strategies developed through consultation with family support services, behavioral consultants, and licensed professional counselors; family and individual counseling; and crisis intervention, which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Intensive Residential Services for Youth with Developmental Disabilities

For years, AWARE has provided in-home services for youth with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders. Now we are proud to offer those services in a residential setting in Bozeman. In this four-bedroom home, youth will be offered state-of-the-art behavioral attention, social and community activities, group, individual, and family therapy, and the invaluable lessons that come from living in a safe and comfortable environment. AWARE provides this service in Bozeman and Missoula. A program in Billings is under development.
