Mind-Body Wellness is for Everyone!

AWARE’s Mind-Body Wellness program is an inclusive community of health and wellness that provides opportunities for clients and staff to learn and experience different mind-body practices.

What are Mind-Body Practices?

Mind-body practices are a group of healing techniques that enhance interaction of the mind and body to encourage relaxation and improve overall health and well-being.

​

Research indicates that mind-body practices positively support mental wellness for people who experience anxiety, stress and depression. A variety of practices are offered at AWARE including but not limited to"

 

  • Movement practices such as yoga and mindful movement;

  • Meditation practices such as mindfulness meditation, sound meditation and breathwork; and

  • Mindset themes such as compassion, empathy, gratitude, mental wellness, nutrition, pain and rest.

The people we serve may be referred for individual or group sessions.
