Did you know that National Voter Registration Day is September 20?
Well, it is! That’s why we’d like to encourage you to register to vote for the 2022 election. If you haven’t voted in a while be sure to check your status here as it may be inactive.
Voting is one of our most important rights. All voices matter because we won’t see real change unless we vote for it. It allows us to collectively select the officials who make laws, design programs and spend tax dollars.
Do your research. You can vote for people who agree with your ideas about health care, education, housing, jobs, transportation and other services and taxes. Don’t know how? Look them up here to see what they’ve worked on in the past. You can also attend info sessions in your area and ask questions or do a quick search in Google. Just be sure to carefully vet any information you find through search engines. Be sure to fact-check the sources against other sites and try to visit only those sites you know to be reputable and reliable sources of information.
Your vote is secret. Nobody will know how you vote unless you choose to tell them.
Make sure you’re registered to vote by November 7, 2022!
For any other questions you have, please visit the Montana Secretary of State website or your local county election office.
