Early Childhood Services Director Melinda Corso announced her retirement from AWARE effective at the end of April. The longtime director has been with AWARE since 2010 overseeing all AWARE early childhood programs and services.
Under Corso’s leadership, AWARE’s early childhood program expanded its services across Montana.
During her tenure, Corso successfully wrote and secured numerous federal and state grants to fund the programs she managed, including the Early Head Start.
Additionally, through Corso’s vision and determination, AWARE purchased, updated, improved, and/or built early childhood centers in Belgrade, Billings, Butte, and Helena.
Melinda often says, “We are building the plane as we are flying it.”
Melinda’s work, vision and leadership has laid the groundwork for continued growth of AWARE Early Childhood services. Her contribution will provide for countless children and families in Montana for years to come.
