Let’s Spread Gratitude This November!

Updated: Nov 8, 2023

Did you know that November is National Gratitude Month? With the giving season ahead, a month dedicated to gratitude seems rather appropriate. It allows us to reflect upon the goodness of life and the abundance that flows with it.

At AWARE, we have many things to be grateful for, including our dedicated team, the opportunity to serve and care for so many wonderful people, and friends who support the work we do. Throughout the year, all of these things and more fill our jar.

Truly, we are grateful!

You too can practice filling your life with gratitude. There’s a long list of reasons why it’s a good idea. Practicing gratitude helps people:

  • Feel happier and healthier;

  • Shift focus from negative to positive things in their life;

  • Generate a positive impact on mental and physical well-being;

  • Move through chaotic, stressful and tense moments; and

  • Sleep better, lower stress levels, eat healthier and exercise more often.

How To Practice Gratitude with AWARE

You can follow along with AWARE during this month of gratitude as we share posts on Facebook and Instagram on #GivingTuesdays, #ThankfulThursdays and #SundaySmiles. Feel free to give a shoutout to the people or things you are grateful for on these posts (don’t worry, we’ll remind you to share your gratitude).

By spreading gratitude, you’ll be helping AWARE spread gratitude and love across the world.

Our month of gratitude will culminate with #GivingTuesday on November 28. On this day, we encourage you to support our wonderful organization by sharing the #GivingTuesday posts with your friends and family via social media or donating to our mission, helping people live independent lives.

Thank you for your support!

P.S. Journaling is a good way to cultivate gratitude within yourself. You can learn how in this AWARE Ink article about how practicing gratitude supports your mental wellness.
