Note from AWARE's CEO

Updated: Jun 6

As the school year draws to a close and the vibrant days of summer begin, we find ourselves reflecting on the past year and the incredible journey we have shared with the individuals and families we serve. This transition period offers a unique opportunity to celebrate the growth and achievements of our community, while also looking ahead to the possibilities that lie ahead.

At AWARE, our mission is guided by our steadfast commitment to our Unconditional Care Principles. These principles are more than just words on paper; they are the very foundation of our work and the heartbeat of our organization. Each day, our dedicated team of professionals strives to create environments where individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities can live independent, fulfilling lives.

The essence of AWARE lies in our belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. Our team works tirelessly to provide personalized support, ensuring that each person's unique needs are met with understanding and empathy. Through every service we provide we are dedicated to fostering a culture of inclusion and acceptance.

What truly sets AWARE apart is the extraordinary commitment of our team. We are a community of ordinary people doing extraordinary things every day. Our staff and volunteers are deeply invested in the well-being of those we serve, watching as they live and breathe the values that make our communities special. This unwavering dedication is what empowers individuals to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and lead meaningful lives.

In this issue of Ink, we highlight our Facilities, IT and Fleet teams. I invite you to take the time to read and learn about them and the critical work they do to support our organization and operations.

On June 13, we will gather in Great Falls for our annual awards banquet. This event offers us the opportunity to remember the “why” behind our care principles and celebrate the incredible work of the people on our team. This year, we had 150 nominations made by 77 employees. The sheer number of nominations is awesome, but more importantly, the quality of the nominations is inspiring. I look forward to our time together in Great Falls. You can follow the banquet live on Facebook on June 13 and we will feature our award winners in the next issue of Ink. If you aren’t subscribed yet, I encourage you to do so now!

As we embrace the warmth and opportunities of the summer season, we encourage everyone to focus on what is truly important: the connections we build, the support we offer, and the progress we make together. Let us continue to uphold the principles that define AWARE, ensuring that every person we touch experiences the care and support they deserve.

Thank you for being a part of the AWARE family. Your ongoing support and belief in our mission make all the difference. Together, let’s continue to create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Wishing you a joyful and fulfilling summer,

Matt Bugni - CEO
