As we near the end of summer here in Montana, with a beautiful transition to our landscape on the horizon, we have the opportunity to reflect on the change of seasons, the shift in mindset, and the changes in our lives we prepare for the excitement of the unofficial “new year” that comes with the start of school and resetting of routines.
As we enter August and launch into the hustle and bustle of the rest of the year, take a moment to reflect on what you anticipate and what goals you may have, and celebrate the fact that there is always opportunity. For us, this time is particularly significant as it represents fresh opportunities for growth, learning, and support for and from our community.
At AWARE, we believe that our connections with our communities are vital. You will start to see more outreach events taking place across the state. These events are a combination of awareness, friend and fund raising and ways to show support for the communities we live, work and play in. Be sure to check out our monthly “Outreach Corner” article in Ink for a full list of upcoming events.
There are a few that I’d like to highlight here. These exciting events are sure to help us all to enjoy the last bit of summer and transition into fall. I hope you will join us at one or all of these outreach events.

Supporting mental health is crucial for the well-being of our community. AWARE is proud to offer a range of community-based mental health services designed to meet the diverse needs of individuals and families across Montana. Our programs are focused on providing accessible, high-quality care that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives. By integrating mental health care into the fabric of our communities, we help build a stronger, more resilient Montana.
In order to do the important work we do, there are folks who work tirelessly behind the scenes. This issue of Ink features AWARE’s Quality Improvement team. I encourage you to take the time to read about them and the work they do.
You too are an integral part of our team. Thank you for being a part of the AWARE community. Your support and dedication are what make our mission possible.
Warm regards,
Matt Bugni
