As November unfolds, we are reminded that it is a month of gratitude—a time to reflect on the people, moments, and connections that shape our lives. At AWARE, we feel especially fortunate for the community that surrounds and uplifts us.
We are honored to support our clients and their families, who trust us with their care and invite us to be part of their journeys toward independence and well-being. We are inspired daily by your stories. You motivate us every day to provide services that foster growth, healing, and connection.
To our dedicated staff—thank you for your unwavering commitment to our mission. Your compassion and expertise create lasting impact in the lives we touch. Our mission is not possible without you. Thank you for being the best caregiving team in the state.
I also want to express deep appreciation for our donors and funders. Your generosity makes it possible for us to serve Montana communities, offering vital programs like Early Head Start, residential care and community-based mental health services – too many to line out individually. Thanks to you, we help individuals thrive close to home and build stronger, more resilient communities.
With the election behind us, it is now time to build relationships with newly elected officials and advocate for investments in community-based outpatient care. Access to these services is essential—not only for the well-being of individuals and families but also for the health of our communities.
Investing in upstream community-based mental health care saves taxpayer dollars by preventing the need for more restrictive and expensive interventions, such as hospitalization, out of state placements or institutionalization. When individuals receive the right care at the right time, they are empowered to lead fuller, more independent lives—reducing the strain on crisis services and keeping people connected to their communities.
We encourage everyone in the AWARE community to engage with local leaders, emphasizing the importance of accessible mental health services. Together, we can ensure that Montana continues to prioritize care that supports people where they live, work, and play.
Living, working, and playing in Montana is a gift we cherish. It reminds us daily of the importance of access to care that is community-driven and available to all. Together, we are working toward a future where every Montanan has the support they need to live their fullest life.
With gratitude,
Matt Bugni - CEO
