For the second year, Opportunity Bank of Montana is teaming up with AWARE to sponsor the “Assist Tracker” at all men’s and women’s Griz & Bobcat basketball games this season. This unique collaboration between two leading statewide organizations provides an exciting opportunity to assist our neighbors with mental health and/or developmental disabilities across the state.
The organizations partnered on the assist tracker for the first time during the 2022-23 basketball season. The final tally between all four teams last year was 1,509 assists, resulting in a donation of $15,090 to AWARE.
With the assist tracker coming back, Opportunity Bank will once again donate $10 to AWARE for every assist recorded during the 2023-24 basketball season.
As a Montana community bank, with locations across the state, Opportunity Bank and its employees are eager to serve their communities with enthusiasm, and they support individual growth and empower people to succeed.
“We are proud to join forces with AWARE to create positive change in our communities,” Ashley Kuehn, Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Opportunity Bank of Montana said. “By linking every assist on the court to a donation, we are helping to create real-world assists that make a positive and tangible difference."
AWARE’s Director of Development & Marketing Brynn Molloy said, “We are grateful to once again partner with Opportunity Bank on the assist tracker. It is a perfect fit for the missions of both of our organizations and provides a unique way to bring awareness to the work we do, support our college basketball teams and most importantly raise funds to help people live independent lives. This continued partnership is just one example of Opportunity Bank’s generosity and willingness to invest in the communities it serves. At AWARE, we believe ‘it takes a team,’ and we are honored to team up with the great people at Opportunity Bank of Montana to help improve the lives of our neighbors across Montana.”
