Anaconda, MT – AWARE is pleased to announce it has received a $60,000 grant from PacificSource to support its statewide operations. This generous award will provide vital unrestricted funding that allows AWARE to remain responsive to community needs, strengthen core programming, and serve more Montanans with compassion and care.

“We are incredibly grateful to PacificSource for their investment in our mission,” said Matt Bugni, CEO at AWARE. “We are grateful for PacificSource’s assistance in expanding our psychiatric outpatient services in Missoula and Flathead counties. With this support, AWARE will be able to increase our outpatient capacity and shrink the six-month waiting time for community members to have access to care. This is a game-changer for our Missoula and Kalispell communities.”
Dr. Kathryn Bogan also reflected on the award’s support. “As Medical Director at AWARE, I’m thrilled and deeply grateful for PacificSource’s generous support. This funding is instrumental in helping us recruit and retain a board-certified psychiatrist who will enhance our team’s ability to serve individuals with complex psychiatric needs. By building capacity and supporting our incredible nurse practitioners and physician assistants, we’re taking a critical step toward expanding access to high-quality, person-focused, physician-led interdisciplinary team-based care for the communities we serve.”
With over 4,100 individuals supported annually through services ranging from school-based mental health care and early childhood intervention to therapeutic youth residences and integrated behavioral health clinics, AWARE is uniquely positioned to respond to Montana’s growing mental health and developmental needs.
This award reflects a shared commitment to improving lives and building healthier communities for all.
