About Dr. Mike


Dr. Mike Bush brings over 40 years of emergency medicine experience in Montana and Indiana, working in both regional referral centers and critical access hospitals. He served as Chief Medical Officer for St. Vincent Healthcare (2012–2021) and Holy Rosary Healthcare (2012–2024), where his leadership earned national recognition, including CMS 5-star ratings and IBM Watson Top 100 Hospital honors.

He is passionate about mentoring physician leaders, having led the Big Sky Medical Staff Leadership Conference from 2011 to 2023. He currently serves as Regional Director of Clinical Education for Rocky Vista University – Montana College of Osteopathic Medicine, supporting third- and fourth-year medical students across Montana and Wyoming.

Dr. Bush has served on statewide EMS and trauma committees and chaired the Community Crisis Center Board in Billings for 11 years. He is in his first year on AWARE’s Board and deeply values the organization’s mission and impact across Montana.

Outside of work, Dr. Bush and his wife of 46 years enjoy fly fishing, hiking, skiing, and exploring the outdoors. They raised five children in Montana and are grateful for the life they’ve built in the Northern Rockies.
