Trish Thompson is SHRM Certified Professional with 15+ years of leadership experience including the successful management of teams, development and implementation of policies and procedures, as well as knowledge and expertise in employee engagement and retention strategies. My strengths include strong communication, conflict resolution, and a broad understanding of Human Resources compliance and best practices.

As the Director of Human Resources for AWARE, I oversee all Human Resources operations including implementing programs to support organizational goals, recruitment, employee engagement, employment related matters, and ensuring compliance with policies, and procedures. During my tenure, the Human Resources Team has automated processes in order to be mindful of efficiency and developed professionally into a team of ten staff members. I had the amazing opportunity in 2025 to develop AWARE’s Emerging Leader training. The training provides leadership opportunities for emerging leaders and assists supervisors in fostering effective supervisory skills.

I love music and take every opportunity I can to attend concerts. My taste in music is metalcore. I am also very invested in Shark Week and one day hope to have the opportunity to visit the Maldives and swim with baby sharks. .
